these were pretty fun, my pal gave me his old n64 with ocarina of time and it is fun.
Ye olde art blog. I was supposed to continue making stuff and posting it here in order to not suck. I had a lame job for a while and I think i'll use that as my excuse for the all around slackage. The other art blogs are awesome which i totally have been missing out on, and i should subscribe to some new ones too. why did i disregard ze blogger.I want to do art so this site will be used

I  have been slacking to the max the past few weeks and haven't done much. But, I have finally finished this comic, it'd take forever to fix all the mistakes and things I don't like about it, but I want to move on already. How I would like for it to not be noob, I am excited to move on though, and I feel like I learned a lot while making it. I made a new tab for it so it's view-able slide show style but I want to figure out how to make it fullscreenable so the text is visible.

yay ive almost completed the last page, i am surely going to take a break from this now and work on a few other things before beggining the vast amount of finishing touches that this thing requires. there are numerous cringe worthy mistakes that im too lazy to fix, but i'd still like to get some feed back before finishing it

im getting nearer to the completion of this wretched comic, i think ill consider it a storybookycomic since its not a legit comic. only 2 more pages left, and then a lot of finishing touches. a few weeks ago i felt like i started something i couldn't finish but its coming together alright. the amount of time spent to crappyness ratio is not fun to consider.

I've made a bit of progress,  the one page where the dudes power up is a major DBZ ripoff, i kinda like it that way since DBZ inspired my learning to draw back in the day, i also was a slacker and was stuck on that page for like a week.

some of the sketches from my design document that i would have liked to just post the word doc that has the stats and whatnot actually ill put the text too

Companions of Chrondiel

World Design
Basics of Chrondiel
The land of Chrondiel is an awesome and awe inspiring place, for many reasons.  It is a cool fantasy world; my influences for creating it would be Tolkien’s Middle Earth and Nintendo’s  Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda, also the Elder Scrolls by Bethesda. It includes everything from unicorns, fairies, dolphins, and supernatural horned mammals to dragons, orcs, wizards, ogres, giants, and demons, pretty much ripping off the basics of your average fantasy world.  It is a vast island that is eight times the size our planet Earth. Magnificent landscapes frolicking with a wide range of critters, diverse vibrant plant life and flora assemble to make a picturesque setting for a fantasy world. The residents include but aren’t limited to men, dwarves, elves, and lizard people. There are also some more unique things you can find in Chrondiel as well, such as extreme beasts.  Beasts are a main focus of Chrondiel, and due to their savage nature keep the Chrondites busy protecting their homelands.  Beasts comparable to a sasquatch crossed with a loch ness monster, or a yeti who is super fat, super hostile and super skilled with a massive hammer. Many of the beasts of Chrondiel are manic and terrifying, but there are also friendly and nice creatures that are fluffy and playful.
History of Chrondiel
Chrondiel has a long history of peace and the races generally get along pretty well.  The few wars that have been fought are mainly due to mans greed and they don’t include too much tragedy compared to what certain beasts have caused. Chron War 4, for example, only had a death count of 12,000, while The Rise of Killithain the Wicked had a death toll nearly reaching the millions. These events were all preceded by the Legend of the Beasts, which by many Chrondites is considered a myth.
In the beginnings of Chrondiel’s existence a mystic clairvoyant turned evil by the ways of necromancy unleashed torment unto the lands, demons, wild imps, and hellish beasts caused anguish to the lands for many a year. The Mystic Clairvoyant’s, who keep watch over the lands from a floating island in the clouds, came up with a plan to stop the misery.  They sacrificed their souls to metamorphose into colossal beasts that could vanquish the evils of the homeland. The four beasts were sealed away in the four corners of Chrondiel for if another horrific time were to arise.

Characters

Gnarbock
The main character of the story, he is a retired beast slayer, once the greatest in the land. His main claim to fame was defeating Troblebanschki the Insane, a fierce dragon like beast that caused much torment to Chrondiel. However, when his apprentice was slaughtered in this battle he hung up his axe for good and disappeared into the forest for 8 years.  Before the days of Troblebanschki, Gnarbock lived for slaying beasts and would take keep sake from each beast he defeated, eventually gaining a shrine worth of beast pieces that was quite grand.  His battle axe is actually constructed from the remains of some of the more powerful beasts he defeated, and is accentuated with fangs and skulls of beasts fastened to the grip by the hairs of more beasts. As a child he watched as a terrible beast destroyed his mother and father (also a great beast hunter), and the peaceful town he lived in.  This of course contributed to his beast slaying desires. An orphan with nowhere to go he survived in the wild until a master beast hunter took him in, and guided him in the ways of beast hunting.

Master  Schwang
A martial arts master who lives atop the highest summit of Manchachu village, he has the ability to unlock any true warriors hidden power. He is wise and demanding, and has trained many of the greatest martial arts experts. He remains a renowned and celebrated icon among any knowledgeable hero. He hosts secretive martial arts tournaments on his mountaintop hideaway. He is rumored to have contact with the clairvoyant overseers, and to even have some psychic abilities himself.

Feingdilli

A dwarf with an attitude, but possesses more than the skills required to back it up.  He is of the royal dwarf lineage of Belfetoor, son of Heingaldi Belfetoor. From his early days was a rebel and had no respect for his families lineage. The oldest son of Heingaldi, he refused taking heir to the throne and was banished from the dwarven community.  He never had desire for being a leader because his main focus was always to become stronger and more skilled.  A protégé from his youngest days as a warrior he only suffered defeat once. He was so humiliated that he dedicated his life to intense physical training and became a master of all weaponry.

that was not a fun experience

3rd and 4th pages are coming along, id like to finish them but id also like to do the next pages too, xbox is tempting as well.

teach said i should scan all the stuff i did. so even the crappy unfinished shit that i wont bother with anymore is included. I'd like to know how artists make such cool fantasy characters with cool accesories and legitimate clothing and stuff. i guess ill just start tryin to have more fun with it and not get frustrated when i get nothing done in hours

five hours later and i give up once again, im sure any one could produce somthing better in that amount of time, im still gonna try to complete a page a day so maybe ill finish this one up in a bit, i will say im pleased with how much better it is than the first version though

ok that took forever +4. i want to try and complete this comic one page a day. i wont spend as much time on the next pages so i hope they turn out ok

Saturday, April 7, 2012

well since my first and second pages turned out quite disastrous i figure spending time figureing out compositions and placement of stuff is a much better idea than starting off spending hours detailing things that  i might not even use. the black stuff is pretty lame i think its the wrinkles from having my hand resting on the paper.

i dont know how this took like 4 hours

I definitely need to have the first frame reach to the end of the page, and i dont thingk floating text is legit, so ill have to do thos world bubble things which i think will make it like a comic which would be neat, uh and i think for the narration parts i should do do the overlappy scroll things
I got the basis for my story down, which I think would be a cool comic/ story board. but it took me forever to make this, and I've got like 10 more pages to do to complete it. so its safe to say i wont have the storyboard completed by monday but ill try to get as much done as i can. Here is what ive done for the first page, the lines are very light so i darkened it in photoshop so its visible, i want to get a few critiques before solidifying the lines and details. now to start the second page...

this is some of the more completed stuff. I want to make concept art that displays an epic fantasy world with characters who are awesome and beasts that  are mighty, but it is difficult when it takes me like 4 hours to draw a dude.  I want to finish these up and some others, but i have to present a storyboard on monday.  its difficult to come up with without a solid plot or story, im thinking along the lines of companions who battle legendary beasts.
